(it's probably there but there is so much information that I can't find it!). I want to make a dot blink so all I want to do is put two pngs ('on' and 'off') together (one png is a world map of earthquakes - dots- and the second png is the one earthquake which blinks). That's all I want. So I'm looking for a composer which can be started at the command line with a time option. All hints and links are appreciated! The one earthquake "on" 3. The one earthquake "off" First display the map, then loop between the (presumably much smaller PNGs) "on" and "off" images. The MNG structure would resemble MHDR # tick length defines framing rate (don't need FRAM chunk) IHDR ... IEND # full map SAVE TERM # looping data SEEK DEFI 0 # location, assume "on" and "off" have same dimensions IHDR ... IEND # "on" image IHDR ... IEND # "off" image MEND I don't think ImageMagick can manage this complexity though, so you'd need to try one of the others. Big hint: mailing list software isn't omniscient. If you subscribe with address "A", you had better unsubscribe with the same address. Trying to do so from "B", as you did, doesn't cut it: > >>>> unsubscribe png-list > **** unsubscribe: '' is not a member of list 'png-list'. > **** contact "png-list-approval@ccrc.wustl.edu" if you need help. One year ago: >> From majordomo-owner@ccrc.wustl.edu Fri Apr 18 02:49:13 2003 >> Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2003 04:49:09 -0500 (CDT) >> To: png-list-approval@ccrc.wustl.edu >> From: majordomo@ccrc.wustl.edu >> Subject: SUBSCRIBE png-list salm@vitalds.com >> >> -- >> >> salm@vitalds.com has been added to png-list. >> No action is required on your part. If you (plural "you") can't remember that long, then I strongly suggest you make a habit of saving all subscribe messages, in their entirety, in some obvious and permanent place for future reference. In addition, if you honestly can't unsubscribe from the old address and your software doesn't allow you to fake the "From:" line with the old value, then I equally strongly suggest you use a *good* subject line in your followup message to the approval address--for example: having trouble unsubscribing from png-list or can't unsubscribe from png-implement, png-list, etc. Any subject line that looks like spam (like, say, "Hi" or "help") or generic list noise ("Re: Majordomo results") goes straight into the bit- bucket. Finally, note that *any* list message with the word-fragment "subscri" anywhere in it is going to bounce, and there's a greater-than-70% chance I will never notice. I typically get 50 or more bounces a day, 99.9% of which (literally) are spam or Win32 viruses/trojans/worms, and I've got better things to do than wade through that nonsense. Here's today's crop, and if it doesn't look like a real person at this level (i.e., single bounce, "real" name in quotes, reasonably matching username), I won't even open it: Non-member submission from ["Lee Oneal" ] Non-member submission from ["Lee Oneal" ] Non-member submission from ["Kate Morton" ] Non-member submission from ["Darren Kiser" ] Non-member submission from ["Darren Kiser" ] Non-member submission from ["Darren Kiser" ] Non-member submission from ["Ç÷¯½º·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["Ç÷¯½º·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["Ç÷¯½º·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["Marisa Mock" <57zgutadfk@hotmail.com>] Non-member submission from ["±ÝÀ¶" ] Non-member submission from ["±ÝÀ¶" ] Non-member submission from ["±ÝÀ¶" ] Non-member submission from [ANDEC - =?ISO-8859-1?Q?ASSOCIA=C7=C3O?= DE DEFESA DOS CONSUMIDORES DE =?ISO-8859-1?Q?CR=C9DITO?= - REGIONAL =?ISO-8859-1?Q?RIBEIR=C3O?= PRETO-SP ] Non-member submission from [ANDEC - =?ISO-8859-1?Q?ASSOCIA=C7=C3O?= DE DEFESA DOS CONSUMIDORES DE =?ISO-8859-1?Q?CR=C9DITO?= - REGIONAL =?ISO-8859-1?Q?RIBEIR=C3O?= PRETO-SP ] Non-member submission from ["Donnell Travis" ] Non-member submission from ["Donnell Travis" ] Non-member submission from ["Tania Krueger" <395jogb@yahoo.com>] Non-member submission from ["Mike Judd" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð·Ð" ] Non-member submission from ["Áê¾ó¸®" ] Non-member submission from ["¹«·áÁõÁ¤" ] Non-member submission from ["¹«·áÁõÁ¤" ] Non-member submission from ["¹«·áÁõÁ¤" ] Non-member submission from ["luxvip" ] Non-member submission from ["luxvip" ] Non-member submission from ["luxvip" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð¹ðÅ©" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð¹ðÅ©" ] Non-member submission from ["·Ð¹ðÅ©" ] Non-member submission from ["Marcie Friedman" ] Non-member submission from [=?koi8-r?B?58HX0snMxc7LzyDzxdLHxcog4NLYxdfJ3iA=?= ] Non-member submission from [] Non-member submission from [] Non-member submission from [] Non-member submission from [] Non-member submission from ["storage" ] Non-member submission from ["storage" ] Non-member submission from ["Christian Waters" ] Non-member submission from ["Christian Waters" ] Non-member submission from ["Stacey Irving" ] Non-member submission from ["Young Carrillo" ] Non-member submission from ["Young Carrillo" ] Non-member submission from ["Áê¾ó¸®" ] Non-member submission from ["´ëÃâÁ¤º¸" ] Non-member submission from [Yahoo! (Well, OK, the rest of this message is a pretty big hint...) Greg P.S. Anyone who thinks they can do better, please contact Adam and me and we'll gladly make you the list mom. P.P.S. This message, too, is guaranteed to bounce; I'll have to watch for it just so I can approve my own message. Sigh. I think I'll bcc png-implement and mng-list, too, just to avoid doing this again in a couple of months. And, to avoid lots of cross-posting noise, I'll bcc png-list itself, too. (Just so everyone knows why they're getting this...) -- Send the message body "help" to mng-list-request@ccrc.wustl.edu
